100% of Wings Alliance graduates who have successfully completed the Wings Alliance Airline Pilot Certificate Course have been offered a job on the flight deck.
Graduates from the Wings Alliance continue to secure jobs with airlines including Flybe, Thomas Cook and Stobart. The latest graduate to gain employment is Michael Windsor who received news that he had been offered a job with Thomas Cook starting in January 2017.
Michael said: “For the first time, modular students can train with one ‘umbrella’ organisation, the Wings Alliance and if successful with their training be recommended to partner airlines. I believe the Wings Alliance is set up to produce high quality ‘airline ready’ pilots that the airlines are waiting for.
I would recommend individuals to look at the Wings Alliance, I feel it really improved my chances of securing a job. The support and guidance I received was excellent and the Airline Pilot Certificate (APC) course is specifically designed to increase your chances of securing a job on the flight deck, it worked for me.”
Speaking about the APC course, Michael said: “The course was fantastic, it was well thought through and effectively run; from selection through to placement. All the elements of the APC built upon each other and I am very confident that the skills I developed on the APC course will give me a good grounding for succeeding on the flight deck at Thomas Cook.”
Michael trained through the modular route as he knew from the beginning he wasn’t going to be able to study on the integrated route as he did not have the access to the funds required for the training. Michael also wanted to continue to work part-time to help fund his training which he could not do with the integrated route.
Michael continued: “I particularly enjoyed the Advanced Pilot Non-Technical Training part of the APC. This course I think is unique in the industry, bringing to life the challenges of the decision-making processes that within a crew I will face on the flight deck with my new employer.
One of the many positive aspects of the Wings Alliance team is their passion for an individual student to succeed, they get to know you as a person and I found were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout my training. Having passed the selection process, I am happy to say the support continued from the staff team throughout and beyond the APC.”
As a result of passing the Wings Alliance APC course I gained a place on the IAGO Platinum Pilot Scheme. I received confirmation I had passed their Selection and Sim Assessment and I was offered a job with Thomas Cook. I am delighted and really feel the Wings Alliance helped me secure this job.
